Students in 6.1 and 6.2 were asked to brainstorm the most memorable "takeaways" from the trip to the Police Interpretive Centre. Here is their list:
Being able to sit in a real police cruiser.
"Lifting prints" using a magnetic device.
Using forensic science lab to match finger prints, foot prints, and hair.
Social Media Safety and Awareness presentation
Healthy Relationships workshop
"Scavenger Hunt" for facts involving police work
Replica jail cell
We encourage families to engage their children in discussions about any/all of these highlights of this rewarding experiential learning opportunity.
