How did you come to read this book?
I have always thought what if life was a video game and when I heard there was a book about that exact thing I instantly knew I wanted to read it. When did you know you liked this book? When I found similarities between me and the main character Brian Biggins I started to get drawn into the book a little more. Who else needs to read this book? Anybody who has thought about life being a video game or someone who is trying to figure out sixth grade or any other grade. Wonder by R.J. Palacio How did you come to read this book?I heard that there was a movie coming out about a popular book. I wanted to see how the director translated the book into a motion picture. When did you know you liked this book?Once I got to know the characters and how they felt. I connected to them and learned you don't always have to blend in. Who else needs to read this book?I think anyone who feels insecure or helpless. Also, if you wan tot look at the world in a different perspective.
Each student has digital access to our school library through the library's website. Ask your child to show you how they can browse the "dead tree" collection of books as well as the ever-expanding collection of digital and audio books available.
Students were asked to take a snapshot of their reading libraries at home. Here is a gallery that provides a glimpse into the literature worlds that exist on the bookshelves of our students:
